Adolescent Counselling
At Aarc, we believe that if young people are to flourish they need a connection to family, friends or a positive role model.
We also recognise that the needs and concerns of young people differ from those of adults or younger children and actively work with that difference.
Some of the challenges at this stage of development include social, emotional and or relationship difficulties. Counselling can help an adolescent to recognise they need help, enable them to ask for help and then accept help when it is offered.
Our goal is to help them:
- Reconcile relationships with parents
- Transit from home to independent living
- Minimise disruption and enhance problem solving abilities
