AARC Counsellors Work with
- Adults
- Adolescents
- Relationships
- Families, including older generations
Issues may include personal and professional relationship problems, stress management, anxiety, panic, depression, and decisions around life transitions.
Counsellors work with individuals, couples and families, offering them the opportunity to understand their difficulties and work towards helpful change.
Clients are initially offered six one-hour sessions, held on a weekly basis, with a review of progress scheduled for the fifth session.
Face-to-face counselling is available in Glasgow, Renfrew, Dunfermline, Falkirk and Livingston.
Online and telephone counselling is also available.
Cost
The first session is free and is an opportunity to meet your counsellor and to decide if and how you would like to proceed.
Thereafter, the fees per session are:
- £60 individual
- £70 couple
- £80 for families or groups
If you are in receipt of a benefit, the fee can be negotiable.
We offer free sessions with our trainees counsellors. Please feel free to ask about this service.
Our services are available to all regardless of culture, religious belief, age, gender, sexual orientation or economic circumstance

Remote and Other Counselling Services
- There are many reasons why people would prefer remote counselling:
- They may be restricted for time
- Not be able to leave home due to illness
- Travel is too far
- Experience a temporary change in circumstances
- Phone
- Zoom/Teams
When you call you can expect the following:
- At the first meeting our we will help you to determine the best course of action for you.
- At the agreed time, your counsellor will be ready for your session and will be available to speak to you for one hour.
- At the end of the session, you will be able to make an appointment with the same counsellor.
- There will be a negotiated fee, which may vary depending on a sliding scale
