The course contains four strands:
- Skills
- Knowledge
- Self-awareness
- Ethics
It is designed for individuals in helping or caring professions, as well as in informal settings with family or friends. It helps candidates develop and apply counselling skills in non-counselling settings.
This training programme in counselling skills is validated by COSCA (the professional body for counselling in Scotland). Successful completion provides a professionally recognised qualification in counselling skills, which has 40 credits at SCQF level 8. It is an excellent starting point for those who wish to train as a counsellor or psychotherapist.

£1,000 (£250 per module)
A non-returnable deposit of £50 is required to secure a place. The remaining fee can be paid in three instalments.
